of plastics, such as expanded polystyrene (EPS), polyurethane foam (PUR), polyethylene foam (PE) or other types of foam.
\nFoams are characterized by a very good ability to absorb shocks and impacts, which provides protection for products from cracks, chips, scratches and other surface damage.
\nIn addition, these foams often exhibit heat-insulating properties, allowing products to be protected from temperature extremes during transportation.
\nDepending on the type of product and its transportation, packaging and storage requirements, different types of packaging foams are used.
\nFor example, for delicate products such as glassware and porcelain, soft and flexible foams are usually used, which provide excellent cushioning and protect against mechanical damage.
\nOn the other hand, for packaging heavy and less delicate products, such as metal items, higher-density foams are usually used, which provide better protection against shocks and impacts.
\nProduct packaging foams are widely used in a variety of industries, such as electronics, automotive, pharmaceuticals, food and heavy industry.
\nThanks to their protective and heat-insulating properties, these foams allow products to be transported and stored safely, which is important for ensuring the quality and durability of products and customer satisfaction. used types of foam in the packaging industry is expanded polystyrene (EPS).
\nEPS is lightweight, strong and flexible, making it possible to produce packaging in a variety of shapes and sizes.
\nEPS is used, among other things.
\nin transportation packaging, such as crates, containers and trays, as well as in protective packaging, such as for electronic equipment, glass, ceramics or delicate metal components.
\nAnother popular type of foam in the packaging industry is polyurethane (PUR) foam.
\nPUR is primarily used in the production of insulating packaging, such as thermoses or containers for transporting food or medicines, as it has very good thermal insulation properties.
\nPUR is also used in protective packaging, where it provides excellent cushioning and protection against mechanical damage.
\nAnother type of foam used in the packaging industry is polyethylene (PE) foam.
\nPE is characterized by good elasticity, tear resistance and resistance to water and moisture, making it an ideal material for protective packaging for transporting or storing products exposed to moisture.
\nPolyethylene foam is also used in insulation and acoustic packaging, and as a filler material in plastic packaging.
\nIn addition to the aforementioned foams, other types of foam are also used in the packaging industry, such as PVC, EVA, neoprene and rubber foam.
\nThe choice of the right foam depends on specific packaging requirements, such as dimensions, weight, type of transport, type of product and requirements for thermal insulation or protection from damage.
\nDiscover our offer of polystyrene re-granulate in Sroda
